Pamela Lawson has won 19 journalism awards, including 10 first-place finishes and nine second- and third-place recognitions.

The first, second and third place recognitions were awarded by the Colorado Press Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and LCNI (in Kentucky).

Judges for the CPA awards are assigned each year to professionals from different states.

The wins, in the weekly divisions, included the following categories: Best Story-Picture Combination; Excellence/Best Feature Writing; Best Deadline News Reporting; Excellence in News Writing/Reporting; Investigative Enterprise Reporting; Best Business Story, Best Series, A Reader, and Best Agriculture Story.
